Ihr Profil
Ihre Aufgaben
You will work on research projects with the aim of alloy and process design for the fine blanking of HMnS, taking into account the microstructure, in such a way that a high degree of strain hardening of the sheared surface edge can be achieved with simultaneously high quality (smooth edge conditon) as well as appropraite general, wear and fatigue properties. The aim of the first phase is a knowledge-based explanation of the cause-effect relationships between the alloy design of HMnS and the process design during fineblanking as well as their effects on the sheared part properties with regard to hardening, quality and general strength.
At the Steel Institute, you can use a wide range of sophisticated experimental equipment - from atom probes to component tests - supplemented by the possibility of producing and processing the materials to be analysed yourself.
