PhD Position (gn*) Cell Biology/Vascular Biology

locationAlbert-Schweitzer-Campus, 48149 Münster, Deutschland
Teilzeit

To meet our high standards every day, we are looking forward to your scientific support - ideally with you on board!

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

Our lab investigates the cellular and molecular mechanisms that govern endothelial cell behavior in response to mechanical stimuli. In this PhD project, we aim to understand how endothelial cells (specifically HUVECs) respond to mechanical forces by modulating their cytoskeleton, adhesion dynamics, and gene expression. Using a combination of microfluidic systems, quantitative live-cell imaging, molecular biology, and immunocytochemistry, we will dissect how cytoskeletal and signaling networks integrate environmental inputs to coordinate vascular function, remodeling, and barrier integrity.

The University Hospital of Münster is one of the leading hospitals in Germany. Such a position cannot be achieved by size and medical successes alone.
