The optical condensed matter physics group at the University of Cologne focuses on non-equilibrium dynamics in quantum materials, and actively collaborates with other experimental and theoretical groups within the CRC 1238 “Control and Dynamics of Quantum Materials”.
YOUR TASKS
- Conduct research focused on many-body physics in quantum materials using magnetic/electronic Raman spectroscopy as a main tool
- Present and disseminate research results at scientific conferences and in publications
- Supervise (under)graduate and PhD students and actively participate in the teaching efforts of the institute
YOUR PROFILE
- PhD in physics
- Several years of post-doc research experience
- Experience in Raman scattering in quantum materials
- Excellent academic track record
- Excellent command of English
- Teaching experience
- High motivation, commitment, good communication skills and team spirit
