The position is to be filled at the earliest possible date and offered for a fixed term up to December 31st 2026.
This is a part-time contract position.
The standard weekly hours will be 8 hours.
The salary is based on the RWTH Guidelines for Student and Graduate Assistants.
The position corresponds to a pay grade of 16.80 euros per hour.

Unser Profil

The Chair of Individualized Production (IP) develops and investigates automat-ed processes in construction, focusing on the use of robots for individualized building production. In order to create an environment that allows the efficient production of lot size one, new and user-friendly methods for human-machine interaction are necessary. The Chair of IP is a part of the Cluster of Excellence CARE - Climate-Neutral and Resource-Efficient Construction together with collaborative partners including TU Dresden. The goal of CARE is to enable rapid, holistic transformation toward climate-resilient and sustainable construction through innovation in materials, design, manufacturing, digital technologies, and sustainability metrics.

We are looking for a research assistant with a Bachelor's degree, who supports us in the research activities within CARE. We offer the opportunity to work with new industrial robots for research and teaching purposes. Ihr Profil

  • Bachelor's degree and enrollment in a consecutive program in architecture or civil engineering
  • Good visualization skills, video editing (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Blender)
  • CAD, Rhinoceros and Grasshopper knowledge is advantageous
  • Prior knowledge with BIM and Industry Foundation Classes (IFC) is advantageous
  • Willingness to learn, experiment, and work hands on with new methods
  • Ability to work independently and take responsibility
  • Very good English and German writing and communication skills

Ihre Aufgaben

Participate in Cluster of Excellence CARE - Climate-Neutral and Resource-Efficient Construction.

Support research activities in the CARE Seed Fund Project, MAPrime - Mapping the Social Sustainability Impacts of Deconstruction Processes in Europe: A Primary Data Approach, under supervision by Dr. Iremnur Tokac Celikyay. MAPrime is a collaboration between INaB and IP RWTH Aachen
