At the German Sport University Cologne, in the Institute of Movement Therapy and Movement-Oriented Prevention and Rehabilitation, Department 1, a position as
Research Associate (m/f/d)
is to be filled full-time with a regular weekly working time of currently 39 hours and 50 minutes, starting from April 1, 2025.
The position is initially limited until September 30, 2027, in accordance with the Science Time Limit Act (WissZeitVG) for the purpose of promoting scientific qualification. This period is considered appropriate for the promotion of scientific qualification. A focus could be the acquisition of interdisciplinary skills in the research of brain-body interactions through the development and application of innovative methods in neuroscience, biomechanics, and data science to analyze and interpret complex multimodal datasets. Additionally, the qualification could involve deepening scientific skills in the preparation of research proposals and in the publication of research results.

If the personal and tariff-related requirements are met, the position will be classified up to pay group 13 TV-L. More detailed information about salary can be found here. The salary level will be determined based on personal professional experience.
The position comes with a teaching obligation of 4 SWS/F 1 according to the teaching obligation regulation of NRW.
Positions can generally also be filled part-time, unless there are compelling official reasons against it.
