Ihre Aufgaben

The Institute of Highway Engineering (ISAC) at RWTH Aachen University is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic PhD student to join our team as part of the ZEB-RA project (AI-Based System for Condition Assessment and Evaluation of Road Assets). This innovative research project focuses on developing AI-driven methods for the automated assessment and management of road infrastructure conditions. The project uses advanced technologies such as deep learning, 3D point cloud processing, and sensor-based evaluations to improve road safety and efficiency.

The ZEB-RA project aims to create a comprehensive system for monitoring and evaluating road assets using AI-driven analysis of 3D point cloud data and validate it with data from different measurement devices. Our approach integrates mobile mapping systems, including LiDAR and camera technologies, to provide precise and reliable data on road side equipment. This research will contribute significantly to the field of road asset management by enabling more efficient and cost-effective maintenance strategies.
