Our research group for Plant Metabolic Biochemistry at the University of Cologne is part of the CEPLAS Cluster of Excellence on Plant Sciences (CEPLAS) and investigates plant amino acid metabolism. We are looking for a highly motivated Postdoc (f/m/x) to join our proteomics team.


 


YOUR TASKS

  • Proteomic analyses on a timsTOF HT system
  • Operation and maintenance of a timsTOF HT system
  • Bioinformatic data analysis
  • Method development and transfer to an automated liquid handling system
  • Research on plant amino acid metabolism
  • Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams and publication of research results in scientific journals
  • Supervision of students in plant proteomics

YOUR PROFILE

  • Doctoral degree in Biology, Biochemistry or related field
  • Wet lab experience in protein biochemistry
  • Experience in mass spectrometry based proteomics
  • Good English language skills

The position is available from 1 Novemert 2024 on a full-time basis (39,83 hours per week).The position is to be filled for a fixed term until 31 December 2025. If the applicant meets the relevant wage requirements and personal qualifications, the salary is based on remuneration group 13 TV-L of the pay scale for the German public sector.
