The Terrestrial Microbiology lab studies plant – microbe interactions with a focus on biotrophic fungal pathogens, in particular smut fungi. We invite self-motivated applicants in the field of molecular plant-microbe interactions. The successful candidate will investigate mechanisms of microbial competition in fungus-plant interactions. In particular, the role of fungal effector proteins in the biotic interactiona of plant-colonizing fungi will be studied.

The position is available from 1 December 2024 on a full-time basis (39,83 hours per week). The position is to be filled for a fixed term of up to 3 years.
