In the Area of Supply Chain Management, we analyse and optimize supply chains and publish our results in international journals. In research, we work closely with other international universities, the ECONtribute Cluster of Excellence, and the Center for Social and Economic Behavior. One focus is on the use of state-of-the-art approaches in the fields of analytics, machine learning and optimization of real-world problems.


 


YOUR TASKS

  • Conduct original research to investigate behavioral dynamics in Supply Chain Management
  • Explore and integrate emerging technologies, such as AI, blockchain, or IoT, in behavioral studies in Supply Chain Management
  • Publish research findings in leading international journals
  • Teach in the field of Supply Chain Management
  • Cooperate with international universities

 


YOUR PROFILE

  • Master’s degree in Economics, Supply Chain Management, or a comparable discipline, with a strong foundation in behavioral economics or operations management
  • Proficiency in quantitative research methods, including statistical analysis, game theory, experimental design, and optimization techniques relevant to supply chain analysis
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools such as R, Python, Stata, or MATLAB
  • Experience in conducting research that applies behavioral theories to management challenges, demonstrated through a thesis, publications, or conference presentations
  • Strong interest in understanding human decision-making processes in supply chain contexts
  • Highly motivated and intrigued by challenging tasks
  • Ability to work in a team and good communication skills
  • Commitment to delivering outstanding research outcomes
  • Fluent in English

The position is available from 1 July 2025 on a part-time basis (29,87 hours per week). The contract is limited to four years, with the possibility of an extension.
