The successful candidate will be employed under a regular employment contract.
The position is to be filled at the earliest possible date and offered for a fixed term up to 31.10.2026.
The fixed-term employment is possible as it constitutes one of the fixed-term options of the Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz (German Act on Fixed-term Scientific Contracts).
This is a full-time position.
The salary is based on the German public service salary scale (TV-L).
The position corresponds to a pay grade of EG 13 TV-L.


Unser Profil

The research of Andrij Pich's group focuses on the synthesis of macromolecules with tailored structure as well as architecture, using various sophisticated polymerization techniques. Methods include polymerization in homogeneous systems or heterophase polymerization, precipitation polymerization, and microfluidic reaction processes. The research is inspired by biological systems and particularly focusses on the chemical design of macromolecules that respond to external stimuli, self-assemble, and can be programmed for degradation.


Ihr Profil

  • PhD in Chemistry or a related field with excellent academic achievements
  • Extensive expertise in polymer chemistry and analytics
  • Knowledge in fiber production (electro or melt spinning, etc.) is desirable
  • Experience in polycondensation is desirable
  • Very good software skills (MS Office, ChemDraw, MestreNova, Origin, etc.)
  • Good German and English skills (written & oral)
  • High degree of independence, commitment, initiative, structured work approach
  • Good communication skills, teamwork ability, and resilience

Ihre Aufgaben

  • Scientific work on the interdisciplinary research project "Active Carbon Capture for Sustainable Synthesis (ACCeSS)"
  • Publication of research results in high-ranked scientific journals and at conferences
  • Supervision of students and theses
  • Interdisciplinary collaboration with other research groups
  • Participation and organization of project meetings
  • Preparation of project reports
